  3. Pour tomatoes into skillet over peppers and garlic, add brown sugar, basil and oregano. Simmer on low for 15-20 minutes until liquid is reduced by half.
  4. Cut grilled chicken into strips. Serve sauce over spaghetti noodles and top with chicken strips

This is a great basic red sauce that can be used in anything needing a red sauce. The first time you make it make the recipe exactly as written and include ALL ingredients including the anchovy paste which adds no anchovie flavor but a nice subtle richness to this sauce. This was a great sauce for our pasta. I didn't have any Italian diced tomatoes so I just used regular and added italian seasoning. I added red pepper flakes (husband likes it hot) and a little all-purpose flour to thicken and it was wonderful.
